Total eclipse of the heart

Seb & their pa headed east to what ended up being clear skies to see the eclipse.
What a sight (photo by Sebastian)
A great day out
Meanwhile, this is the best that Toronto could offer - but wow, what an offering!

Graphically colourful

It was a father-daughter outing to the AGO on a winter weekend. Keith Haring is always spectacular!

A Sebba summer

This teen (for only a few more weeks...) was rarely spotted outdoors but when it happened, it was magnificent!

What to see and who to see it with

Went to an excellent production with this one who has eagle-eyes for all things theatre

She decided to semi-formal

She looked gorgeous in her new dress (Simon's for the win!)
and comfortable in her borrowed (!) hightops

And could she be a teen in 2023 without the bathroom selfie?!

It seems like it was a load of fun with a pile of friends

and good memories of great dance moves abound

Florence & the Machine

To wrap up the summer, and to make up for the fact that we didn't really get away, Sophie & Mum headed to one last concert.

Toronto did us proud at the outdoor Budweiser Stage (it didn't pour with rain either)

FLORENCE & THE MACHINE!! Whoop, whoop.

Florence is known for her raven tresses and floral crowns, so there were some glorious heads of hair in the audience

Play ball!

In our usual seats

Does anyone else go to the game with bags full of stuff "just in case"?

Celebrating a pretty special person's 19th!

Bold, brave & brazen indeed - Theo is taking on UBC theatre studies!

Fancy cocktails, even for the not quite 19...

Gorgeous souls

What a busy summer! Part 3

Soph was invited to a classmate's "happy place" and a splendid week of camping ensued

There was a hammock - aka Sophie's happy place

Our gal is getting a lot of time with water this summer. Lucky mermaid

messing about as a group

Scrabble, reading, napping....

Stunning stillness

These two are very suited to each other!

Wednesday & Saturday treats

It is almost summertime! I have started to cycle to a local farmers' market on Saturdays and this week, Sophie joined me. It's not quite Issigeac but it's pretty nice and getting there includes a beautiful cycle along the lakeshore.

Dog has started to get his summer thirst (and will soon have his summer clip)
A real summer treat is picking up some of the weekly efforts of Centennial's culinary students on Wednesdays. In fact, I have made the class break long enough to get to the cafe and back! And Sophie has her favourite dishes that she requests!!

Hugs, laughter and love

Unfortunately, the past two visits with Auntie Jeet have coincided with Grandma being hospitalised - but we still want her to visit!!

Towering over Auntie Jeet these days

Take care of a poor earlobe

make the school's "uniform" your own - to the extent that the British fanbase can't pick out the uniform elements!!
