Our first athlete

Sebastian competed in his first non-school tournament last weekend. The boys from 2 gymnastics clubs met up in Bergerac. Seb was in the upper primary division (Pupilles A), which does vault, floor, parallel bars and the single bar. He said he didn't like it when everyone looked at him, but seemed to not be fazed and enjoyed cheering for other team mates.

our very flexible lad

supposedly his legs are bad in this one

He has his dad's physique right down to the shoulders

We had to leave for a train to Paris straight after the competition (see next blog post), and thus didn't find out the results until Thursday. But Seb came 2nd in his division! and won at parallel bars (see strong shoulders / biceps above) and vault.

Receiving his medal from his coach - who can be so mean he almost drove Sebastian away from the sport...

Not the greatest snap but shows his joy
