Pals that bowl together

Stay friends forever (or something). We are not big bowlers, but couldn't turn down the invitation to get together with two other families from school and have a rainy Monday night bowl-fest last week.
extra points if you colour coordinate

there was a wee bit of competition amongst the adults

A family that skies together - 2013

What a glorious ski season - good snow, great teaching for the kids, a fab holiday.
Sadly, there will be no more for this season. The snow is melting and I have tendonitis in my left wrist. After a week of pain, I decided to splint it for the next while, in hopes that it will heal quicker.

Great memories though!

Last of the winter vacation

A game of chess beside a fire and with a sticky bun

Walkie-talkie on? Ready to go

About all I see of him now!

Their massive bed in their own room. So they read every morning and had their own breakfast things too

Thumbs up for Teddy-bear-shaped pancakes with chocolate chips

More holiday ski snaps

Ready to head out again

Carrying the lass and her skis over the one road that lies between us and "the Farm Loop"

Lots of this happening too; even Seb is asleep by 9:30 pm!

Ski bliss

his first 'expert' trail and only one tumble
It was really really steep

My love is in heaven - a whole week of "step out of the condo, ski right on to the trails, happy kids, cocoa in the backpack, jacuzzi tub waiting for you..."

Heading out en famille this afternoon.

Winter wonderland

This girl can ski for miles/kms

having lunch on the patio (!)

The flock of pheasants that we came across
We are having a wonderful time at Horseshoe Valley - skiing and swimming and reading up a storm. We even had a beautiful dump of snow all day yesterday and the trails are groomed to perfection.

Oversized inspiration

Art project with his buddy Zul
Inspired by Swedish-American sculptor Claes Oldenburg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claes_Oldenburg

I was disappointed that Seb didn't know that Oldenburg considered his work to be collaborations with his wife Coosje van Bruggen, and signed every 1981 piece with both names. Still, it's an impressive project, no?

Ah, you want to know what it is? A hot dog, of course! Made from fabric.

(I know that grandparents are waiting for snaps of the ski holiday. They are coming in the next day or 2 - as soon as I download them)
