Our less than stellar academic year
Don't get me started on how Ontario has handled the teens' education through the pandemic. That said, our duo show up and do their best each and every day. And this is how they study: online and yup, one almost exclusively does it from bed despite there being a desk in her room and oh 3 other flat, empty surfaces in the house. It's taking a toll on her posture though!

The unknown school building
It's been a very strange school year to say the least. M realised that he hadn't been into Sophie's new high school since February 2020, whereas I last went to order her uniform back in June. Anyway, this Grade 9 gave an external tour. Best we can do during COVID-19.
Where she has her health document checked each time she goes in.

Let the good (parenting) times roll!
The siblings being very civil with each other
The 17 year old thinning the lilac tree as his weekly big chore. Over the delayed March break (next week), they will each tackle one sizeable chore in the house. Sophie has opted to paint the laundry addition.

One of "those" walks
The kids and their dad went on an Easter walk, and walked and walked and walked. 11 kms through Bloor West village, south past Old Mill along the west side of the Humber, and then along the Lakeshore and up through High Park!!

Who loves halloumi? We love halloumi!!
For New Year's, I had given our halloumi-loving daughter a cheese-making kit. So over 4 hours(!!) and many many steps, we made halloumi. She started, then I joined, then she left for her dad's and I finished it! And yes, tasted it. Kate & I agree that it is 80% right; not quite the correct consistency and saltiness, but yummy! I can't wait to serve it to the children tonight in a dish that the gorgeous Emma shared.
