Winter wonderland

January has been a winter wonder land in Toronto (if -37 with windchill is a + wonder)

after this particular snowfall, Mr mr went skiing in our local park!

I have been admiring it all from my current jaunt to the tropics - for work, of course...

Milestone

This young lass just boarded a train solo. She is headed to Montreal - not to visit Grandma but to celebrate gorgeous Gopi's 12th birthday and meet her friends at a sleepover.
Parenting is about letting go and this one is ready to fly!
Bon voyage, ma belle!!

(and hey, Auntie Jeet, maybe she will head to Thailand next!)

Back to the Depanneur for Middle Eastern brunch - but it's so good and Carrie and her friends had never been

Just for the record, Seb has his skis on; he is not yet taller than his dad

Out and about with my pals

Went to see the amazing movie The Favourite with my pals Kim & Susan; Olivia Coleman was phenomenal!

Then we played some air hockey

and motorcycle racing - I kept crashing spectacularly

and some basketball

A New Year's trip to see this special person

I love to see the amazement in her eyes at how tall her grandson is!

Whereas she is used to my height by now.

Some people even got to ski in the Laurentians!

We are very fortunate that this rad gal - who likes to be alone sometimes - usually let's us hang out with her.. What a smile!
