Birthday boy (in Hastings)

We have had the huge good fortune of spending some of the last 3 summers with the dear Eardleys. But we always seem to miss lovely Ken's birthday. This year, we were there on the day and just had to spend it in grand style. The birthday boy wanted an outing to Hastings - so off we went. We saw the art gallery, and the fishermen's museum, and the lovely lanes, had an ice cream on the pier, heard stories of local crime syndicates (because Emma had been on a 9 week jury for an attempted murder trial), and ate gorgeous fish & chips with a great view of the fishermen's huts. I am a bit embarrassed to say that we don't have a good shot of Ken...
