The scoop

Sophie noticed this on the walk home and her dad obligingly took her to buy some and take a snap

What a big boy

So big now, though he can still curl up pretty small

There's a lot of this going on. In fact, Easter weekend was spent de-matting & de-burring him inch by inch...

He slept the night through with Sophie last night and wasn't too disturbed by the 4 boys sleeping over.

First grown up shoulder bag!

Sophie took some gift money that she had saved from her Grandma and bought this lovely leather bag. I hope to borrow it some day...
It's a timeless piece that (ice blue-grey leather allowing) she may have in 20 years. Imagine her at 31!
She looks so grown up and thrilled (in her Value Village wool sweater and gorgeous, embroidered XS women's jeans from Simon's)

Family Date Night #4

Sophie chose bowling last weekend. So way out in the 'burbs we went.
Very careful selection process

getting low

Not so convinced by the scoring...

Let's just say that mister won both times

But I was leading at one point
I didn't get any photos of the "extreme bowling" - when they turn the lights off and the pins glow in the dark.

And then afterwards we introduced our gal to Dairy Queen - which Seb opted out of for allergy reasons (even the big slurp)

A small treat one evening

Not home-made but delicious just the same

Trampoline competition #3

I don't seem to have any other stills - and can't load movie clips.. But it was a small pool of athletes. Seb did okay in 1 event but lost his control in another (he still came first - yup, solo in his category!!)

Former Grove kids and friends!
We all drove to Cambridge to watch
Left at 7:15a.m. in the slush storm but it meant we almost finished our family read - still on The Book of Dust

Our gal pal

Why have 1 head covering when you can have 3?
loving her pup
enjoying some ice cream after passing Level 10 at swimming - the final one before a Wedgley can retire (or at least pause)

having her hair "done"
shaking it out

Breaking news...

Hair cut!! A bit short for April, he said. In fact, he claims his head is cold and he will have to wear his hat even more (if that is possible!). But his scalp smelled beautiful throughout ESA's musical theatre showcase - which both he and his dad adored. Seb even shed a tear at the 150 student strong rendition of This is Me.

Loooong Easter weekend

After the rush of the ESA Main Stage performances, we unwound by renting a "country home" and heading off for some quite times with a few (8!) friends.

Packing the car...
enjoying a gift a friend brought her

Seb's Easter bonnet adornment

searching for eggs

Daisy finding some of the haul
Following the clues

sharing it out
We ate well and played many many board games and a great round of charades.
