Seb's school held their annual performance last week. Unfortunately we don't have any worthwhile snaps of him in action but here's the man on the ground's summary:
The theme of the whole show was taking Free To Be You and Me and updating it for 2015. Some stuff was untouched - the Grade 1-2s did a rendition of William Wants A Doll, for instance. When the choir sang Free To Be, they changed the line about "Every boy in this land grows to be his own man / In this land, every girl grows to be her own woman" to something less gender-determinant, but I can't remember the words. Choir also turned "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" into "wanna have fun-damen-tal rights... fun-damen-tal rights..." (Teacher) Velvet's handiwork was apparent.
Seb's class did a choreographed number (him in his formal jacket) to "A Little Too Much" by Shawn Mendes http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tnrJL-FSkVo
Then did a wild/free dance to "Stereotype" by Samsaya http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Lyimst2Cbus
Our boy looked happy on stage. (Another parent wrote: I must tell you, I was truly enjoying Seb's offering on the stage today. He really "showed up" as a performer and showed some moving interiority, as well as some pretty awesome threads too.)
Elvis (a.k.a. teacher Shannon) made an appearance. ("Graduating parent") Silvie's props and costumes were amazing. And of course Michelle's pulling-it-all-together enthusiasm.
Hope that gives you a flavour.
