Getting the renos out of the way

We were really excited to see our home in Issigeac, as every aspect of the ground floor was renovated over the spring. Unfortunately, due to our own delays, it wasn't completed and we spent the first 2/3s of the holiday with no kitchen and never got the dishwasher or sink working... Our brand new bath-tub got a little bit greasy from the dishes.

Nevertheless, we were thrilled, especially with the walls and the lovely door into the garden. I was giddy every morning when I came downstairs. Thanks George and Lorraine for making this possible for us at this point in our lives.

Now we have to rent it out for holidays!

Oolala, very nice! The old & new blend seamlessly. A house to live & dream in, congrats!

It's almost ready for you to visit now, Lynn. 3rd bedroom will be done by March 2012.

The whole blog is about the kids, Gwen. THIS post was about something else for once. And now you have ruined it... (thanks. I think so too)

Unbelievable. No wonder you're giddy - it's beautiful. Congratulations, and we can't wait to visit again!
