Finally out West - part 2

Dear daughter arrived solo

(At least she looked back and waved to her parent this time)

First, she had to learn the rules of the waters

Then we headed for the islands

Our amazing friends - the clang-clang aunties - and their gorgeous, new home on Hornby

Sophie visited the cousins on Vancouver island

and eating ice cream!

Meanwhile, Jeet and Jo did a little retailing (I managed to keep the plastic in my wallet)

Then it was time to see the rest of the Fikri-Chapmans!

On what was supposed to be our last day, the ever-wonderful Jeet took us out for some exploring and fun (ending up at Maiwa where the plastic did come out...)

On our bonus day, Mark & Mary fed & hugged us again

New to me shoes

I bought 1 pair last year. I have bought 5 pairs this summer... In my defence, all were 2nd hand or deep discount. And the heels? Because I can and because Seb is way too tall!

Full house

Both while I am here and away, the house is brimming with people. Yippeee!

Finally out West - part 1

It's been 7 years since most of us were in BC. SEVEN YEARS! Jo arrived first and it has been quite the homecoming. Visits with 7 friends in 4 days and many more visits to come in the next 12 days!!

Jeet & I actually went to hear live music for her birthday!!

There was a heat wave and sadly, smoke from the forest fires. But glorious sunsets and it's cleared, so stunning views of the mountains.
